People need shelter in order to survive. We need protection from weather, animals and people who may harm us.
How can we do this? A house is ideal because it has a roof to stop the rain getting in, walls to keep the cold
out, and doors to keep people and animals out.
We also have a fence around our garden to keep out some animals and people.
